Thankful Thursday: Shelter

As I prepare to move I realize how thankful I am for shelter. It's something that many (myself included) take for granted but a basic need which some do not have.
Have you taken time today to praise God for the shelter He has provided you?

How timely is this! My family just this week finalized our short sale. We are having to rent after owning for 16 years. But God is so faithful and has provided us with a rental home beyond our hopes and dreams. He is good and I give Him all the praise!
I'm gonna be honest, this morning, I looked around my house, saw the dirty dishes, dust everywhere, and the tomatoes that need canned and thankfulness wasn't my first or second thought, or even on my mind. Thank you for the reminder.
Yes! I am so thankful for my shelter! It's so easy to get lost in what I don't have (HGTV doesn't help!), instead of being thankful for what I do have. I pray each day in thanksgiving for what I have. I also pray in thanks for the blessing of which I am unaware. :o) Happy Thursday!

My 4 year old son lately has been saying all through out the day, "Mom, I really like this house!" He has been my reminder lately. Its tough when life gets crazy and we take for granted something as simple as a roof and walls surrounding us and keeping us safe.
I am so thankful for my home, but most thankful for the continous shelter from our Lord xx
Definitely thankful for my home. Never hurts to be reminded!
