Teaching Our Children

Even though we have been homeschooling for 7+ years, I still have days when I question myself if we are doing the right thing. Then God shows me that yes, we are doing what He wants us to do through scripture.
Deuteronomy 11:19
19 You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
I do my best to keep in mind that God gave me my children. He expects us to raise them in His way. We have been blessed that I have been able to be at home with our children and have that extra time to be with them. We only have our children for a short time that it is so important to teach them as much as possible. Not only teach them from the bible, but we must also teach them through our actions. So let your children see you reading your bible, let your children see you pray and definitely let your children see you telling others about Jesus and know that he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Do you have a time where you sit down with your children to read and study the bible? Bible study has become the most important part of our day. I am learning that our day will go a lot smoother if we read our bible and pray before we do anything else.
How do you incorporate bible time with you and your family?
