God's Love
This Monday, many will be celebrating Valentine's Day. The day that many will declare their undying love to someone. Don't get me wrong, I will be right there with others, telling my husband and children how much I love them and how much they mean to me.
However, I know of someone who went to the extreme of showing their love for others. God. He gave His only Son, to us, so that we may have eternal life.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
So while you are enjoying the day, being with your loved ones, think about who loves you and your family more. Think about the ultimate sacrifice that He gave us. Think about God's love for us.
Blessings to you all.

To Everything There Is A Season
When I think of seasons, I think about the 4 seasons of the year; winter, spring, summer and fall. Not only do we experience these seasons, we also experience many seasons as we go through our life. There are births and deaths, war and peace, love and hate. There is a time to cry and a time to laugh, a time to gain and a time to lose. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 speaks of everything that we will experience through life. That is why it is important to cling to God. He will allow the good and guide us through the bad. When something happens to you, ask yourself, "How can I show the glory of God through this?"
Blessings to you my friend!
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
1 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

Going Through A Difficult Time?
Are you going through a difficult time in your life? I am sure most everyone has something in their life at this time to where they just don't know what to do about a situation. Lately it seems no matter how hard I try, I just can't get ahead of the game. Kids have been sick, hubby has been sick, vehicle issues, medical issues. It is that time of year where you want to give your family all they deserve. You think you can do it all and you can't. However, I know the one person who can. God. He can and will supply all of my needs. All I have to do is ask! No matter how small or large the prayer request, He will answer. Did you notice though I said needs? Yes, needs! Not wants! God knows what you need and He will take care of you no matter what. Just trust on Him and His holy name and He will provide all of your needs.
Check out these verses that I came across. Remember that God will take care of you and your family!
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Matthew 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Blessed Be The God
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Our God, who bestows so much mercy on us and comforts us during those difficult times, who encourages us to continue on doing what is right in His eyes. He does this so that we may be able to comfort and encourage those who are in need. That we may help them during their difficult time with the same love, encouragement and comfort that He gave us. What a wonderful and merciful God we serve.
Next time you see someone who looks like they are having a bad day or perhaps had been crying, let them know you care. Say something nice or positive to them. Let them see you shining your little light for God.

Teaching Our Children
Even though we have been homeschooling for 7+ years, I still have days when I question myself if we are doing the right thing. Then God shows me that yes, we are doing what He wants us to do through scripture.
Deuteronomy 11:19
19 You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
I do my best to keep in mind that God gave me my children. He expects us to raise them in His way. We have been blessed that I have been able to be at home with our children and have that extra time to be with them. We only have our children for a short time that it is so important to teach them as much as possible. Not only teach them from the bible, but we must also teach them through our actions. So let your children see you reading your bible, let your children see you pray and definitely let your children see you telling others about Jesus and know that he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
6 Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Do you have a time where you sit down with your children to read and study the bible? Bible study has become the most important part of our day. I am learning that our day will go a lot smoother if we read our bible and pray before we do anything else.
How do you incorporate bible time with you and your family?

Promises
Have you ever made a promise? Have you ever made a promise and not been able to keep it? Has someone made a promise to you and then broken that promise? I am sure we have all known of someone who has made a promise and broken it. Just look at the world around you. From government, companies, advertisements, preachers, to family members. When a person tells you they will do something specific for you, you then expect them to go through with it no matter what. On occasion though promises are broken, and you will get mad, upset, discouraged and become disappointed. There will be times when you can not count on people to do what they say they will do. There will also be times when you won't be able to do what you say you will do. We are human though and we will make mistakes.
However, I know of someone, who has never broken a promise that He has made to us and He will never break those promises either. The Bible has many scriptures that tell of God's promises to us. Here are a few:
Romans 4:21
21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Titus 1:2
2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began
Hebrews 10:23
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Titus 1:2

Hebrews 10:23

God's promises were given to those who belong to Christ. If you have asked Christ to be your personal Savior, then all of those promises are for you. God has promised us eternal life, love, forgiveness, peace, joy, guidance, strength, mercy, grace, wisdom and so much more. Just turn to the One who will never let you down!

Having Faith
Hi! My name is Joy and I am new here to the Seeds of Faith writing team.
Lately, I have been thinking a lot about my dreams and what God wants me to do with my life. I have been praying and asking God how I can serve Him. I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool my kids. Often I think to myself, "well what can I do? How can I get out in the world to serve God when I am at home?"
"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:22
God definitely answers prayers. Not long after praying for God to lead me in the right direction, He started opening doors and putting people in my life that give me the chance to tell others about Him and what He has done.
It is amazing how God works! I can spread the word of God without even leaving my home. He does have a purpose for me, I just need to trust and have faith in Him. I just need to pray and ask God what He wants me to do, then open my ears and listen. He will provide the way!
" He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." Luke 16:10
Have faith in God!
