Ponder This...Numbers 13:30

Ponder this...

Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it."  ~Numbers 13:30 (NKJV)

In the face of great adversity, Caleb had complete faith that Israel would overcome the giants that dwelled in the land that God had promised them.  He believed that somehow, God would keep His promise to deliver them into the land, despite the impossible situation that stood in front of them.

► Are you facing challenges today?

► Do you have some giant-size problems?

► Are you trusting that God will
              cause you to overcome them?

Blessings to you,

Ponder This...Matthew 6:4

Ponder this...

Are you tempted to leave it all behind
- to throw in the towel?

Can you find a way to make God your joy,
& wait for His reward?

Ponder This...Zechariah 4:10

Ponder this...

Do you ever feel that your gifts or your efforts
are just too small to make a difference?

Have you ever given them to God
completely and asked Him to bless them?

Ponder This...Psalm 111:2

Meghan & I were just so blessed by the great response that we received here yesterday during our iFellowship event!  We talked it over and decided that because of its success, my normal Wednesday post should move to Thursday afternoons.  We really want everyone to have plenty of time to "iFellowship" throughout the entire day!!!

So, with all of the fun new changes going on around here lately, I decided to shake things up a bit myself.  Every Thursday afternoon, I plan to post something here for you to ponder.  It may be a scripture, a picture, a song or even a random question or two.

The word PONDER is defined this way, "to consider something deeply and thoroughly; to meditate."

If you will, ponder this with me for a moment...

Have you pondered the Great works of the LORD yet today?

Blessings to you,

Word of God Wednesday - Genesis 16:13

The God Who sees me.  These are powerful words that were spoken by an Egyptian maidservant named Hagar, who found herself caught in the middle of a huge marital mess between Abraham and Sarah.  I'm sure that we'll find time to talk more about Abraham & Sarah on another day.  Today, however, I want to focus on Hagar and the stunning revelation she had on the day that she met God in the desert.

The Lord God spoke truth into her life during this encounter and she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that He was able to truly see who she was, and what she was going through.

How about you?  Do you believe that God sees you and knows you today?

I must admit that I have had days in my life that I just wasn't sure that God really understood what I was going through.  I mean, how could He possibly know what I was going through being a full-time Mom?  Did He have dirty laundry up to His eyeballs and hungry people constantly asking Him, "Hey, what's for dinner?"  I don't think so!  He couldn't possible relate.  right?

This idea couldn't be farther from the truth.  We only have to look at the life of Hagar to realize that He DOES know who we are as women.  If He can see into the life of a dejected maidservant, surely He can see into mine.  If He can cut through her circumstances with just a few words, surely He can speak into mine.  Through prayer, study of His Word, and fellowship with other believers, I have experienced a God who sees me and knows me better than I know myself.

Have you?

I'd love to know how you would answer that question.

Also, if you're ever in need of prayer, our team is here for you!  Just leave us a comment on any of our posts and let us know.  We care deeply about our readers and really want to connect with you.

Blessings,

Word of God Wednesday - Hebrews 4:12

As a Christian, the Bible is VERY important to me.  Actually, I just looked on my bookshelf and I have over a dozen copies of the Bible in all different versions and colors.  I have a small one for my purse on Sunday mornings, a huge, large print one for studying, a pretty purple one for my ladies Bible study class, and one with the Greek/Hebrew right in the text.  I also have the Bible on tape, on CD, on DVD, and on my handy-dandy iPhone.  Wow!  Can you believe it?

I think that I have accumulated so many copies of this book because I am convinced that there is something extremely special about it.  It contains treasures that I have not yet discovered, peace that I cannot fully understand, and a  genuine Spirit of love that, at times, is hard for me to grasp.

Hebrews 4:12 says this...

The most important thing that we need to remember is that the Word of God is POWERFUL!  It is "living & active".  It is a sharp sword that cuts between the things of God in your life and the things NOT of God in your life.  Isn't that amazing?

Have you read something life-changing and powerful in the Word of God lately? If you have, leave me a comment and let me know what it was.

I hope that you'll join me back here every Wednesday as we take a deeper look into God's amazing Word together.
