Our Good: God's Best

Too often I believe we give God a laundry list when we pray: “God, please give me this, take care of this, help this person…” The problem with this is that rarely do we pray expectantly, actually believing God will answer our prayers, but we also don’t allow room for God to work, move or reveal His ultimate power in our lives.
“Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10)
Can you imagine if God opened up the floodgates and made just a moment of your life “as it is in heaven”?
Next time you pray, instead of asking God for something, turn the tables and ask God what; stop and see the best He has for you – you might just find you like it better than what you were asking for in the first place!

Questions to Ponder:
1. Is there a question you're afraid to ask God?
2. How do you teach your children to not only accept, but embrace God's will for their lives?
3. Do you pray with a list in your mind or with an empty page ready to be filled with God's words?
